Corsage

Simple corsages as starter

Instead of putting the pin, substitute with a band and it becomes a wrist corsage – easy to wear by just slipping onto your wrist!

Hairpiece

Lesson on how to do a bridal/flower girl hairpiece. Doing this really requires lots of patience – flowers/leaves need to be cut into small pieces and tied piece by piece with wire.

Baby breath, berries, tea leaves

Baby breath, statice, tea leaves

If make into a smaller size, it can also function as hand corsage

Cameron Highlands

It's been awhile I didn't update my blog. November has been a busy month for me, with 3 major events happening and being stationed in Singapore for work. Singapore event, SG100 was a success and I'm real proud to be part of the organizing committee.

Coming back from Singapore, I decided to take a short break and escape to Cameron. Various reasons for Cameron – cooling, miss the green there, want to see flowers, visit my friend and then head back to hometown.

Missed the tea and the cool air at Boh Tea Plantation. Aahhhhh, finally I can relax and unwind after so much hectic at work. It was raining, foggy scene, wind blowing while sipping hot tea with good company. To my surprised, I met a group of 'ang mo' tourists whom I've met at Hangout Hotel, Singapore! What a coincidence! Cameron, I shall return again for the greens!

Flowers that are growing along the street leading to the hotel where we stayed

Flowers taken at flower farm. Noticed that there were not many flowers compared to my last visit few years back. Wonder if it's wrong timing

Artificial flowers

Sunflowers – I helped 'sifu' to fill-in with fillers and leaves

Sunflowers – garden concept
This one was totally done by myself :). Started with cutting and filling sponges into the vase. Then put a layer of glue so that can cover the sponges with artificial moss and grasses. This step was fun because the moss and grasses are so soft to touch and play with – pressing them so they will stick onto the sponges. The not so fun part was cutting the stems of sunflowers as they were very thick! My hands were red and hurting and I was quite struggling for strength, haha. Seems like arranging fresh flowers is easier! No wonder artificial flowers can be sold quite expensive due to the amount of work and sweat involved.

Garden concept – four sides of the vase is filled with different types of flowers and greens
